I had this dream...

In which I was very frustrated with a friend of mine. I was at her house, desperately trying to stop the annoying 'beeping' coming from one of the fire dectors. I raced around the house, checking each and every fire dector, while she sat in the living room, feet propped up, as if the noise didn't bother her.

Beep. Beep. Beep. The dream seemed to drag on for quite some time - the horrible beeping noise and me, trying to find it's source. I was going insane!

The baby's crying tore me from the dream and as I got out of bed to get him, I realized I had received a text message - Beep. Beep. Beep. - an hour ago!

The noise that I had been searching for in my dream had been my cell phone!

Have you ever had a noise from reality makes it's way into your dreams?

Note to Self:

When out with your girl-friends and a guy at the bar asks if your camera takes good pictures - Think twice! The guy may simply want a "Picture of my friend playing pool over there," but it could be more than that.

Then, when later on in the night, 'Guy Playing Pool' comes over to chat and you find out he has NO IDEA who 'Picture Guy' is you realize either, A) He's gay or B) You just gave him access to your phone number.

So don't be surprised when he begins texting you (often).

-------------

The texts have been about nothing in particular. Just small talk. I found out he's a friend of a friend, so I've been 'playing nice'. I've only met him the one time, though he's asked me several times since if I will be out at the bar anytime soon. He knows I'm married. So, I figured there couldn't be any harm....

Then, 'Picture Guy' texts me and says, "I know where you live." Come to find out, he lives just a few houses down from me. Hmmm... I wonder if I should be worried???

-------------

Oh.. And while we are on the topic of Guys at The Bar - What is wrong with Men?!?

My BIL told me once that "Married women are off limits. I will never go there."

Is he just a really good guy or lying to me, his SIL? Because, I swear, you tell a guy your married and it's like he 'ignores' that fact... just keeps pressing on with the LAME come-on lines. Give me a break! Not interested! I've found that it's so much easier to state that I'm gay (while giving my girl-'friend' a big hug). Can you believe that? "Lesbians are off limits, but guys if she's married it's fair game!"

Randomness

randomtuesday

What is the point of dressing up like a Hooker only to work in a coffee shop? I walked up to a curbside coffee shop in another town, to find the barista wearing the required uniform which covered less than your typical 2-piece swim suit. Across the shop, a vehicle pulled up into the drive-through, oogling the young lady as she made my drinks. Seriously? I mean, she's got to be making little over minimum wage, if that. If your going to be walking around in an outfit which leaves little to the imagination, why not just work as a stripper. At least the tips would be good!

To the man throwing the 'Twinkle-Twinkle-Little-Star' hand motions towards me while yelling, "Blink! Blink! Blink!":
Get a life! Everyone makes mistakes, clearly you did when choosing that haircut. Some men can pull off that long-hair look. You can't. You look like someone I would expect to see on the Crime Dog Watch List. Besides, it's not like you couldn't CLEARLY see where I was going. I was in a TURN LANE for crying out loud! I had no other option but to turn. So, in the future, please don't take the shame of your pathetic life out on me.

We spent the weekend at the beach; camping, swimming, hiking, and just spending time with friends. The plan was to leave Friday morning. While packing up the vehicle, the baby fell on a toy and cut open his finger. We couldn't get the bleeding to stop and finally took him in to see the doctor. We were two hours late getting on the road, but we're finally on our way! About 30 minutes from our destination, a loud pounding sounded underneath the vehicle. Afraid we had blown a tire, we pulled over and I got out to check it out. Nothing was flat, so I assumed we were okay. After stopping at the next city, to pick up last minute supplies, we find that we are leaking antifreeze all over the parking lot. Taking a closer look at the tires, we see that the thread has completely ripped off the front passenger tire. We are LUCKY we were able to drive on it. We spent another couple of hours in the city before deciding to take our chances, because noone there was able to (or had the parts) to fix the vehicle. Before heading on to our campsite, we stopped at a gas station where my total came to $6.66. The guy in line behind me said, "Wow. That is not a good number. If that was me up there, I would be saying, 'Man! That's what's wrong with today!'" If he only knew....

We did make it, though, and had an excellent time! Good food, good friends, and simply a break from day-to-day life!

The Beginning

Daredevil started Kindergarten today. I'm so proud of him! He was a bit nervous, having never met his teacher before, but he went right in without any protests or crying.

After school he ran right up to me, slammed into me hard, and gave me a BIG hug. Ahh... I love my little man!

He came home with a paper he made at school. It's a picture of a cut-out hand with a stamped heart in the center of it. A poem above the hand reads:

Here's a special thing to do
When I am scared of leaving you
Hold my hand, then kiss it here
The kiss will help to keep you near
It will help me through my day,
So I can work and learn and play.

Then of course, Daredevil showed me that I am supposed to kiss the palm of his hand so that he can hold it over his heart. What a great idea!

My lost motivation, Son's lost tooth

I've completely lost all my Blogging Motivation. It's sad. What's sad is the events that lead up to this loss in motivation. I need to change that. I shouldn't let the actions of others bother me so much. It's just that I worked so hard on my other blog and to just have someone coming in and stealing my content, addmitting to downloading IP scramblers in order to trick me into believing it wasn't happening. It's just so frustrating... and draining.

I'm going to be better. I'm going to try anyways. Blog more often, both here and at the other one - though, I still haven't completely decided what I want to do with that one yet.

Anyways, Daredevil lost his first tooth yesterday! I had left him with my Dad while I took a nice, long, refreshing walk around town. I came back, took one look at my son and said, "What happened to your mouth?!?" I had assumed he had broken it! However, looking closer you can see the new tooth coming up. He's just getting so big!

Grandpa saw the missing tooth, but had assumed he had lost it while with me. Daredevil had no idea when or where he lost his tooth.

So... Before bed last night, I sat down with Daredevil and we wrote a note to leave for the Tooth Fairy. The note read, simply:

Dear Tooth Fairy,

I lost my tooth. I still want money. Thank you. I love you.

Daredevil

And of course, the little Daredevil did get his money (4 quarters) and can't wait to spend them!

I need a nap!

I seriously don't know if I could handle being a single Mom of 3 boys. I have such great respect for single Moms - I just don't know how they do it!

Hubby has been working a LOT of overtime the last couple of weeks. We are saving up thousands of dollars for....

I'll give you a hint? Can you guess?

It's for me (I'm being totally selfish!), but Hubby is probably just as excited
(maybe more?) about it. Which, I assume, is why he's working so much
overtime to get this for me - even though I've decided to go back to work in
order to pay for it.

Wait for it....

Have you made a guess???

Are you ready for it???

I'm getting a.....

Breast Augmentation!!

Honestly, Did you guess???

I breastfed 3 boys and it changed me in ways that I never thought possible. So, yes, we are saving up the money and will hopefully be making an appointment within the next month or two.

I. Am. Totally. Stoked.

It's been a long day...

... which makes for a quick and random blog post, full of nothing really interesting.

For the second time this summer, I spent the afternoon up at the community college teaching a bunch of young (middle-school aged) girls how to 'stay safe' in a variety of situations. While it was fun, God am I glad it is over! I am just not good in front of crowds. Okay, maybe that's not entirely true. Once I get started, It's not so bad. It's just the nervous anticipation that kills me.

------------------------------

I love the smell of Warm Apples and Cinnamon. We have an apple tree in the backyard (along with a few other fruit trees) and I've spent the day making homemade applesauce and apple crisp. Delicious!

-----------------------------

Saturday night/Sunday morning. Either way. It was early - 1 am. I get a phone call from an "Unknown" number. I knew I should probably ignore it, but the whole "what if it's an emergency?" idea got the best of me. I answer it and a very upset and very angry woman says, "Yes, Hello. Can I leave a message for the owner of this phone?" What kind of question is that?!? Ends up she had the wrong number, though now I'm wishing I would have went along with it just to find out what the 'oh-so-important' message was!

------------------------------

Speaking of random phone calls. Have any of you heard of Youmail? It's a free voice mail service. Both The Hubby and I use it in place of our carriers voice mail. You can choose greetings for your callers or use the general one which greets your callers by name, "Hello Barbie. Ken is not currently available..."
My favorite part of this service is their "DitchMail". Perfect for getting rid of ex-boyfriends, crazy stalkers, and the occasional insane family member! I know it's not very 'Christian' of me, but I would love to greet a certain someone with, "I’m sorry, nobody at this number wants to talk to you. Please hang up, and die in a fire." Muahahah!!
